Appointments

To schedule an appointment, please call Bright Sky Veterinary Acupuncture at 607-882-1929. Also, please fill out the New Patient Form prior to your first appointment, and bring this with you.
To provide optimal service and care, have your regular veterinarian email recent medical notes, lab results and imaging reports to us.
Environment: We will provide a quiet and comfortable environment with no distractions in order to achieve desired results. Please arrange for babysitting and leave other pets at home. A soft bed will be offered for the patient to sit upon.
What to Expect: First, Dr. Robinson will review medical notes and take a complete history of the presenting problem. Then she will examine the patient as your regular veterinarian does. Afterwards, she will examine him in the Eastern manner: evaluating the pet's demeanor; tongue color, shape and size; as well as palpating the pulses of the inner thighs. Once she has accomplished these steps, she will make a diagnosis and formulate a treatment plan. The acupuncture therapy follows, with fine gauge needles placed and left in the patient for somewhere between ten and thirty minutes. Most animals find this relaxing and sit quietly during this time. On subsequent visits the doctor may choose to use electroacupuncture, which is very effective for arthritis patients, or other therapies such as moxibustion.
Payment Policy: Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted at the time services are rendered. CareCredit is a special credit card for human and veterinary medical care. You can explore the company's offerings at www.carecredit.com.
