Meet Dr. Robinson
Dr. Sara W. Robinson is a 1999 graduate of Cornell's College of Veterinary Medicine and has been in private practice since then. She has worked at a number of veterinary hospitals and has been a relief veterinarian for the last five years. She also holds degrees in liberal arts from the University of Pennsylvania (B.A.) and Cambridge University, England (M.A.). She has worked as an editor for a museum publication, a writer for a stock brokerage house, and an English teacher at the Chapin School in New York City.
In her incarnation as a veterinarian, Dr. Robinson has found her calling. She feels fortunate to have a career with many challenges and daily rewards. She is committed to offering her patients the very best care, and invests much time and energy in continuing education. To add Traditional Chinese Medicine to her training is most exciting. Dr. Robinson is occasionally available to speak to groups. She has presented to the Ithaca Dog Training Club, at the Finger Lakes Lavender Festival, and has lectured on, and presented live demonstrations of, acupuncture at Cornell Veterinary College's Open House held in April each year. She was honoured to be asked to speak on behalf of the Alumni at the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new teaching facility at the Chi Institute in Florida. When Dr. Huisheng Xie, the Founder of the Chi Institute, came to Cornell to teach in September of 2015, Dr. Robinson was again honoured to be asked to be a lab instructor for the weekend sessions. Having grown up in Upstate New York, Dr. Robinson enjoys the snowy country sports. In her spare time, she practices yoga, enjoys horseback riding, skiing, ice skating, hiking, swimming, cooking for friends, and kayaking. |
