Here is what our clients are saying:
Henry "Henry started receiving acupuncture treatments and Chinese herbs from Sara within months of his cancer diagnosis. In combination with his oncology treatments we were so blessed to have over two and a half more years with this amazing soul. We definitely believe the treatment and care from Sara contributed to how much more time and the very many good days we had with Henry. He just loved his sessions with Sara! Back when Sara had her downtown office Henry would turn to go up the steps even on days when we didn’t have an appointment scheduled. During the sessions Henry was always so relaxed and happy to have the time to socialize (and eat biscuits!). Thank you Sara for your amazing work with our first, furry child!" Maggie and Seth Piper "Piper had emergency surgery for a herniated disk (between L2 and L3) on October 12. She lost all control of her back legs. We started acupuncture on week 2 when we had the staples taken out. The vet hospital that we had the surgery at was over an hour away so we were worried that we wouldn't be able to do weekly acupuncture after that. Luckily for us Dr. Sara Robinson is at Johnson City Veterinary Hospital every week! Starting week 3 Piper got weekly acupuncture. We started seeing progress right away with her starting to correct her toes and standing. These videos are of week 4 and 5. At week 6 she is now taking short walks again with her brother and is definitely becoming her old self. We firmly believe that acupuncture made all the difference in her recovery and can't thank Dr. Robinson enough." Dodie Ainslie Tara "This is a letter about our experience with Dr. Robinson and her acupuncture service. Our cat, Tara is 15 years old and was experiencing significant health problems. She was hospitalized for a few days and had an ex-ray and an ultrasound performed. She was very ill with an inflammatory bowel problem. Tara also had been chronically vomiting for several years. Lastly, because of reasons beyond our control, Tara was experiencing extreme stress. I had heard about Dr. Robinson’s service and decided to try acupuncture on Tara. She has completed three sessions in three weeks. From the first session, Tara experienced complete relief from her symptoms. Tara no longer vomits, is calm and happy. In fact, I believe the acupuncture perhaps has worked too well as Tara is acting like a young cat again. She came outside with me one day and I watched her running like the wind and leaping through the yard! She constantly asks us to play with her. Before the acupuncture, she was showing signs of her age and was acting a little bit senile. Now, she is bright and alert. Her coat is beautiful and her eyes clear and bright. She responds to us again as if she was much younger than 15 years. At the time of her acupuncture, it worked like an instant tranquilizer. We are very pleased with the results of Dr. Robinson’s acupuncture treatments and will continue to see her for maintenance treatments. Whether or not a pet responds to acupuncture, to a large extent relies on the skill of the acupuncturist and I am happy to report that Dr. Robinson is a very skilled acupuncturist. My husband and I and our family highly recommend Dr. Robinson. Thank you Dr. Robinson for giving us back our beloved Tara." Becky Caruso, Attorney At Law Girlie "Girlie started showing signs of arthritis in her rear legs at age 11. She was having mobility issues, and her quality of life was deteriorating. NSAIDS were not working, and the decision to let her go over the Rainbow Bridge was approaching. We decided to try acupuncture; she just turned 12, and Dr. Robinson’s acupuncture treatments have allowed her to enjoy life again. She loves going to the office, stands patiently as she is hooked up to the electroacupuncture machine, and seems to enjoy the feeling of the needles. It is amazing to see her increased energy after just a fifteen minute treatment. She is doing well on treatments roughly every 4 weeks." Rebecca Feher Myles "I brought my dog Myles to our vet’s office in Johnson City to see what could be done for his arthritis. He was having an awful time getting up, and taking his walks. It worried us so, and I did not want the option of putting my poor boy down. There we met Dr. Sara Robinson, a veterinarian who practices acupuncture. Myles has been going to Dr. Robinson for six months now, and we see a world of difference." Darlene Monk Bailey "Bailey, our nine-year-old Maine Coon cat, first came for acupuncture with Dr. Robinson in April of 2015. He had been diagnosed with hip dysplasia and was sleeping more, walking with difficulty and pain, and not jumping. He improved with acupuncture: climbing onto beds more, going up and down stairs. I could see that his face and eyes were brighter; he was happier and more active. He also suffered from constipation, and acupuncture has helped with this condition, too. He takes two herbal formulas: one for arthritis and one for constipation. He continues to do well with acupuncture treatments every six weeks." Kathleen Nichols Kasey "Kasey Grimm at age 14 started to slow down a bit. She was becoming lethargic and had mobility issues. Acupuncture seemed to be a good option. After her first session, I noticed she had more energy and a more positive attitude. She now has had acupuncture for over a year and has been doing great. She has a lot more energy and runs around a lot more. Acupuncture is s great option to choose over long term use of medicine, such as NSAIDs." Addy Grimm Basil "My one-year-old cat Basil suffered fractured and subluxated vertebrae just above her hindquarters. This injury caused paresis in her hind legs, making walking almost impossible for her. Her veterinarians doubted that she’d be able to walk again, and put her on crate-rest for six weeks. She was also unable to empty her bladder without a variety of prescription medications. During Basil’s first acupuncture sessions, she laid down, fell asleep and enjoyed the experience thoroughly. But feeling soon returned to the area, and she became feistier during sessions. Since beginning acupuncture treatment, Basil can walk again on both hind legs, and no longer needs pills to urinate—the Chinese herbs Dr. Robinson prescribed work very well for her. I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Robinson for helping my young kitty regain her mobility and liveliness!" Sarah Kimber “In October of 2014 Kimber was diagnosed with bilateral cruciate tears. We had the option of surgery or NSAIDS. We decided to go the NSAID route with lots of rest and relaxation. Over the next few months his mobility deteriorated, and we were having to always help him up the four back steps, and the main staircase was totally out of the question. We began acupuncture on March fifth and since then he has had four appointments. Kimber is now taking short walks like we did prior to the injury, playing fetch, walking up the four back steps all own his own, and has made four impromptu trips up the main staircase on his own. He no longer takes the NSAIDs every day, but takes Chinese herbs. He always has a smile on his face, and it’s so nice to have my happy-go-lucky dog back! I will strongly recommend acupuncture to any pet owner; the results are awesome.” Marissa Boris "My aged, 115 pound dog, Boris, began to cry in pain when he walked. After repeatedly consulting his clinical veterinarian and putting him on laundry list of drugs that had limited effect (he eventually refused to walk), I brought him to Bright Sky Acupuncture and Sara Robinson DVM. To say Boris is a difficult patient is a vast understatement. However, the welcoming atmosphere of the office and Dr. Robinson’s soothing bedside manner put him instantly at ease. Not only did he improve almost immediately after his first treatment but he has shown no further signs of acute pain. Most surprisingly, he developed neither fear nor anxiety and happily returned for subsequent visits. I whole heartedly recommend both acupuncture and Dr. Robinson for all patients- no matter how infirmed, old or difficult." David Sampson Chloe "After Chloe's first treatment with acupuncture, she came home acting like a puppy, playing with her toys and being very active. She is no longer on any medications for her arthritis, and has acupuncture every six weeks." Mary Ann Harley "Right before Christmas 2014, Harley, my 16-year-old Jack Russell was savaged by some dogs. He had multiple wounds and particularly on his right rear leg. When Harley started walking again, he was dragging his leg behind him with the toes curled under. Dr. Sara Robinson came to my home, and after three electroacupuncture treatments, he started to use his foot and walk normally and even use the stairs. Dr. Robinson told me that electroacupuncture can heal nerve damage. Harley certainly proves that." Susan Lowe |
